Senior Transport Planner

Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for a step up? We are looking for a Senior Transport Planner who will plan and execute collection and delivery schedules via the most cost effective means. Staffline is recruiting a Senior Transport Planner in Bristol. The rate of pay is up to £38,000 per annum dependant on experience. This is a full time role working fixed shifts and the hours of work are: – 6am to 4pm Your Time at Work As a Senior Transport Planner your duties include: – Making full use of all IT systems, TMS and customer portals to ensure efficient fleet and employee deployment. – Fully utilise all vehicles to ensure accurate and appropriate allocation of drivers/vehicles/trailers/customer deliveries and backloads. – Working closely with the workshop to ensure vehicles and trailers are available to support the transport requirement, service scheduling is built into the plan and advise the operation in a timely manner when there are any risks to vehicle or trailer availability. – Communicating and sharing plans with the transport team to deliver through efficiency and maintain customer service levels. – Managing staffing levels, including agency staff to ensure sufficient staffing levels are always in place to meet and exceed the daily plan and to meet customer requirements. – Communicate effectively with all customers and work with them to understand and resource their schedules.
