This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic and hands-on logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and has a proven track record of managing complex supply chains in the aerospace sector.
The Role:
As the Logistics Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full logistics function, including procurement, inventory control, compliance, vendor management, and end-to-end supply operations. Your expertise will help ensure critical components are delivered on time, safely stored, and traceable—all in compliance with aviation industry standards. You’ll play a key role in developing efficient logistics strategies, leading a team, and ensuring seamless operations to support both internal departments and third-party clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimise logistics planning and inventory management across the business.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring all materials are sourced cost-effectively and in line with industry standards (CAA, EASA, FAA).
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance.
- Ensure accurate traceability and documentation of aircraft components, including storage and release processes.
- Monitor and analyse key logistics KPIs such as stock turnover, cost savings, and delivery performance.
- Handle import/export compliance and hazardous materials in accordance with customs legislation and aviation regulations.
- Implement risk management strategies for supply chain continuity and disruption mitigation.
- Maintain warranty accounts and ensure proper handling of defective parts and returns.
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics operations, reporting, and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics or supply chain management within the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Strong working knowledge of aviation regulations (CAA, EASA, FAA, AS9120).
- Proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or AMOS).
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in team leadership and performance management.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage changing priorities.
