Are you an established Construction Estimator with a flair for achieving success in Residential, Industrial, and Commercial projects? Our client is seeking a seasoned Estimator to strengthen their pre-construction team and aid in securing refurbishment, fitout and reactive maintenance contracts. Qualifications:

  • An applicable degree in construction or a related field, either finished or ongoing and or highly experienced in a similar role.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as an Estimator with a principal / regional contractor in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine tender documentation, including drawings and technical documents, to prepare precise, detailed estimates.
  • Arrange sub-contract and supplier packages, including take-offs, and liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to address queries.
  • Organise and carry out site visits, communicating with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Evaluate cost factors, such as production time, materials, equipment, and labour expenses, to optimise profitability.
  • Cooperate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors to ensure project success.
  • Review sub-contractor and supplier quotes to meet pricing requirements.
  • Offer cost-effective, value-engineered suggestions and submit tenders.
  • Transfer successful projects to the construction team without a hitch.

Skills/Experience:

  • Adept with Excel and familiarity with estimating software (preferred).
  • Capacity to work independently, handle multiple projects, and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
