An experienced Deputy IT Manager is sought to support the delivery of IT strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity across a growing organisation. This hybrid role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, supporting day-to-day operations while driving continuous improvement and contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 2nd/3rd line support for hardware, software, and infrastructure.
- Maintain on-premise systems and support their digital transformation project to migrate to the cloud.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance.
- Support Microsoft Dynamics NAV, general applications, and IT hardware.
- Contribute to IT policy development, process improvement, and project delivery.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver business-aligned IT solutions.
- Liaise with third-party vendors and manage external IT relationships.
- Lead or contribute to IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Provide mentoring to IT team members and support end-user training.
Required Skills & Experience
- Competent experience in IT support (2nd/3rd line or MSP environment).
- Proficient with Active Directory, M365, Microsoft SQL Server and ERP support.
- Familiarity with servers, switches, desktops, laptops, and IT ticketing systems.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
Desirable
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Cisco switch management, SANs, VMware or Hypervisor experience.
