About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Driver/Operative to join our Cleansing team. This hands-on role involves a variety of street scene and environmental duties across the local area, helping to ensure our public spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and mechanical street cleansing
• Carry out street washing, graffiti, and fly-posting removal
• Conduct weed spraying and removal operations
• Empty public litter and dog waste bins
• Collect litter, leaves, and fly-tipped waste
• Safely remove hazardous items such as needles, dead animals, and faeces
• Operate and maintain vehicles, plant, and equipment required for duties
• Work collaboratively with other street scene services and teams
• Ensure safe and professional working practices in all weather conditions
• Report accidents or near misses and attend relevant training as required

Key Requirements:
Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• 7.5 tonne (C1) driving entitlement
• Good understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
• Familiarity with city/street layouts
• Awareness of vehicle operating licence obligations
• Experience of working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Desirable:

• HGV Licence (Category C)
• IOSH – Working Safely certification
• Traffic Management (12D) qualification
