Key Accountabilities
- Integrate within our multi-disciplinary design team to deliver robust design solutions to clients
- Interface with other engineering disciplines including civil, M&E, and structural
- Communicate effectively with clients and senior staff
- Manage a challenging workload
- Be a team player with a mature approach and first-class interpersonal skills
- Adhere to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations
- Represent and promote ByrneLooby professionally and develop effective relationships with clients and potential clients
- Manage projects in compliance with ByrneLooby's Integrated Management System (IMS)
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment
- Achieved Chartered status
- Degree and ideally a masterβs in chemical, process, or environmental engineering
Skills & Knowledge
- Deep understanding of water treatment and/or wastewater & industrial effluent treatment principles
- Proven experience in developing process solutions in industrial and municipal settings, in accordance with Irish and UK standards
- Experience in process selection, design, application engineering, proposal, and operational support
- Experience in developing the full cycle of treatment processes from concept to detailed design
- Experience in preliminary and detailed design of water/wastewater treatment plants based on provided data and treatment criteria
- Ability to develop equipment and plant layout drawings, PFDs, and P&IDs
- Ability to perform process mass balance, hydraulic, energy, and mechanical calculations for detailed design
- Ability to understand complex problems and conceive innovative solutions
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and external agencies
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and industry updates
