1:1 Learning Support Assistant Are you an experienced and qualified Teaching or Learning Support Assistant looking for a new challenge? U-Educate are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching/Learning Support Assistants for primary schools based in Portsmouth. This is a full time, long term role due to start in January 2025. Job Description * Supervision of students on a 1:1 * Provide additional learning support as identified * Support may involve personal care * Supporting SEMH Needs * Engage, motivate and encourage students to complete work set * Make sure all students are focused and on track to meet their lesson objectives * Provide feedback to the classroom teacher on student’s progress and development * Putting into practise individual Educational, Social, Behavioural and Personal Care Plans * Attending to student’s social, mental and emotional needs Requirements * Previous experience within an educational setting supporting students with SEMH and SEND * Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification * Experience with SEMH and SEND * Ability to pass an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to work with children * Up to date Safeguarding Training (You can undertake a free course with U-educate if you have not got a safeguarding certificate dated within the last 12 months) I am very keen to speak with candidates who are interested in this role and feel that they meet the requirements stated above.
