Rate: Up to £50 p/h
Yoh are continuing to service a scaling client of ours based in Windes who are looking to employ a Signal processing engineer or algorithms developer to come in and work on multiple work packages within the business. Our client has their own proprietary software working within real-time monitoring systems within the water and wastewater industry. They have a hardware function as well as a data science/AI department where this position will sit between working with the large amounts of data collected. They are located in Widnes, on the outskirts of Liverpool, and would look for hybrid and remote working but with some office attendance required, mainly to work with the hardware and with Edge computers.
Some of the requirements and responsibilities within the position:
- Analyse real-world signals to understand their characteristics
- Develop filters (e.g., FIR, IIR), transforms (e.g., FFT), and modulation/demodulation schemes for optimising algorithms.
- A lot of the work will be comprised of noise reduction, compression, filtering and wavelets.
The are looking to hold remote interviews in the coming days/week with work packages signed off and ready to be handed over. Additionally, there is a wider scope to work alongside the AI and data science team to help in the development of their state-of-the-art machine learning models.
