We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all driving regulations. The successful applicant will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
- Ensure that all deliveries are completed safely and on time, adhering to scheduled routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as per company policy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
Experience
- A clean UK driving licence with 7.5T rights, and a driver CPC card.
- Physical fitness for an active role involving manual handling.
- A positive, reliable attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexibility to take on varied routes and schedules, ready for both rural and urban challenges.
Working Shifts: Sunday PM - Saturday AM. Day shifts, afternoon and night shifts available.
Hours: 48 hours, five shifts per week
