We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager with strong grill skills to oversee daily kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, leads by example, and has a genuine passion for food and team development. You'll be responsible for maintaining high food standards, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety compliance, and playing a hands-on role on the grill.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
- Lead and support the kitchen team, ensuring high performance and morale
- Prepare and cook menu items, with a focus on grilled dishes, to consistent standards
- Manage inventory, stock ordering, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
- Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing coaching
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
- Assist the Operations Manager with menu development and specials where applicable
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Strong grill cooking skills with a solid understanding of meat temperatures and preparation
- Food hygiene certification (Level 2 minimum; Level 3 desirable)
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about quality food and customer satisfaction
