We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented Estate Operative/Caretaker to join our team at a prestigious luxury residential development in North West London. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the estate’s communal areas, both inside and out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grounds Maintenance: Ensure all external areas including gardens, walkways, and communal spaces are kept clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times. Carry out basic landscaping duties such as sweeping, weeding, and clearing leaves.
- Litter Picking: Perform daily litter collection across the estate, including car parks, paths, and entranceways.
- Cleaning Duties: Undertake regular cleaning of internal communal areas such as lobbies, corridors, lifts, stairwells, and reception areas. Ensure all surfaces, flooring, and glass are maintained to a high standard.
- Waste Management: Manage bin stores and refuse areas, ensuring bins are correctly rotated and waste is disposed of in accordance with local regulations and site policies.
- Health & Safety: Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues. Act promptly on any hazards to ensure the estate remains safe for residents and visitors.
- Reporting & Communication: Maintain clear communication with the Estate Manager and residents where necessary. Report any issues, incidents, or feedback promptly and professionally.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar caretaker or estate operative role, preferably in a residential or hospitality environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance and cleaning procedures.
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
