Bicknells Jewellers is seeking a confident and knowledgeable Sales Executive to join our small team. This is a proactive, customer-focused role ideal for someone with a passion for jewellery and a strong background in high-end or luxury sales. We are a manufacturing jeweller working directly with the public, so you must be comfortable handling special orders and bespoke requests.
Role Options:
- Full-Time: 5 days per week, including Saturdays. Sundays off, except for approx. 6 Sundays in the run-up to Christmas.
- Part-Time: 3 or 4 days per week, including Saturdays and Sundays as per the full-time schedule.
Hours: 9:30am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively build long-term client relationships and generate appointments by phone and in-store.
- Confidently advise on jewellery purchases, suitability, and aftercare.
- Handle bespoke orders and special commissions, liaising with the workshop and managing expectations clearly.
- Take in repair jobs accurately and explain processes to customers.
- Maintain showroom standards, including daily tasks such as hoovering, mopping, and washing cups.
- Support customers throughout their journey, from initial enquiry to collection and beyond.
- Encourage aftercare services and follow-up visits to build repeat business.
Requirements:
- Strong background in high-end or luxury retail sales.
- Good understanding of jewellery and repair processes (minimal training provided).
- Ability to confidently manage bespoke and special-order enquiries.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service instincts.
