We are seeking a highly proactive and skilled Security Engineer to join our team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure by identifying, monitoring, and remediating security vulnerabilities. You will work collaboratively within a dynamic environment, transforming complex security issues into effective, deployable solutions.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Monitor, maintain, and remediate security vulnerabilities across our hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to deliver remediations for complex technical vulnerabilities.
  • Proactively identify current and emerging security issues.
  • Design and implement solutions to address all identified security issues within the business.
  • Problem-solving with excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Written and verbal communication, capable of articulating complex information clearly.
  • Self-starting, detail-oriented, and adept at task management.
  • Ability to translate complex vulnerabilities into deployable security remediations.

Experience with:

  • Vulnerability detection and scanning.
  • Vulnerability remediation across both cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Understanding complex technical issues and managing them within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Threat intelligence.
  • Automation in security contexts.
  • Cloud and on-premise infrastructure maintenance.

Demonstrates Knowledge Of:

  • Data collection and correlation from on-premise and cloud infrastructure into SIEM platforms.
  • Expertise in a range of security products, including Vulnerability scanning, firewalls, networks, URL Filtering, EDR platforms, DLP, Auditing, and controls.

Holds These Qualifications:

  • A Computer Science / IT / Business / Technology degree or equivalent practical experience.

Desirable:

  • Formal Information security certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP).
