Job Description The Job Mission As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will design and deliver comprehensive learning programs that align with organisational goals, helping our teams thrive in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Collaborating across departments, you’ll lead initiatives that enhance skills, foster inclusion, and drive professional growth. The focus in the first year will be very much within our early careers space, so this would be an excellent opportunity for someone with an early careers background to move into L&D or similarly, an L&D specialist wanting to expand their talent portfolio! Key responsibilities include: ️ Conducting training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and align learning initiatives with business objectives. ️ Designing and delivering engaging learning interventions, including face-to-face, virtual, and eLearning programs. ️ Managing and improving the Learning Management System (LMS) to track and report on training outcomes. ️ Partnering with universities, colleges, and schools to promote careers and develop a robust talent pipeline. ️ Providing guidance on Apprenticeship Levy-funded courses and professional qualifications. ️ Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance. ️ Representing Assystem at industry events, building networks, and showcasing our commitment to professional development. ️ Embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion into all learning and development initiatives. Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications CIPD Level 3 Learning and Development Certificate or equivalent. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Proven ability to design and deliver successful training programs. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems and other educational technologies. Excellent IT skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of the learning cycle and how to measure the impact of training. ️ Desired Skills and Qualifications ️ Level 3 Award in Education or equivalent. ️ Experience designing blended learning solutions. ️ Familiarity with diversity and inclusion in L&D planning and delivery. ️ Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently. Additional Information Hybrid working 2-3 days in one of our offices (Warrington, Blackburn, or Sunderland), with travel expected across the UK. Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance.
