PROCUREMENT – SENIOR CATEGORY MANAGER FM (MANAGING A TEAM) – FTSE 100 FM FIRM - £80,000-£90,000 + PACKAGE (CAR ALLOWANCE + 20% BONUS) – LONDON (WITH TRAVEL)
With aggressive expansion underway, this iconic global Facilities Management powerhouse is investing in best-practice procurement. The Firm is looking to hire a highly qualified FM Procurement specialist to join their team.
As FM Senior Category Manager (VP), you will be regarded as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a variety of £Multi-Million procurement sub-categories including but not limited to Catering, Cleaning, Waste Services (Soft FM), Engineering & Building Services, Fit-Out & Construction (Hard FM).
Procurement role summary:
- Implement sourcing strategies for FM Services, to support the operational business, meet business objectives and achieve financial targets.
- Ensure the Regional Buying team employ the Regional Procurement strategy in each region across UK & Ireland.
- Gather visibility of FM capex project pipeline to enable regional buying team to execute associated procurement activity for projects.
- Manage a team of procurement professionals or development towards ensuring relevant succession planning is in place through development of team.
- Deliver ambitious annual savings objectives to deliver the regional target achievement.
In order to be successful you must have:
- Experience in leading teams in a buying / category management environment (5/7 years+)
- Experience in FM sub-categories e.g. Lifts, Fire and Security, Water treatment, electrical wholesalers
- Experience of managing sub-contractors across Hard and Soft FM Services
- Experience of working in a multi-cultural and matrix environment
- Experience in developing and implementing national procurement and category strategies.
- Proven track record in complex contract negotiations
