Footballco is the world’s largest football content and media business, with 300+ employees across 16 countries, reaching more than 700 million fans each month, and billions of views. We’re home to a portfolio of global and local football brands, including the likes of GOAL, MUNDIAL, FrontThree, INDIVISA and more. We exist to shape the future of football fandom, and we are the #1 global football content creator. Our channels power football culture for every fan, everywhere.

This role can be based in our London or Leeds office. We’re looking for a Senior Motion Designer with strong creative instincts, big on attention to detail, and a deep understanding of what good design looks like, not just how to animate it. This is a key role within our Brand Design team, working across all of our brands. You’ll help define how motion lives within each identity, from toolkits and templates to original show formats, stings, social animations, marketing assets and more. You’ll have say over how motion is approached, not just on a project level but in terms of the wider creative vision.

We’re looking for someone with an eye for detail, a sharp visual instinct, and a passion for pushing the work beyond the initial ask. Someone who sees the potential in a brief and can bring it to life! We need someone who can think like a designer, who can build compositions and create functional systems from scratch. You won’t always be handed static designs to animate. You’ll often be the one making the decisions, visually, structurally, and creatively.

You’ll also work closely with our Head of Design (whose background is in motion), particularly on the development and evolution of our .MOGRT templates and toolkit systems. If you don’t already have experience with expressions or template logic, that’s fine, what matters more is your curiosity, logic-driven brain, and eagerness to learn. You’ll be joining a small but mighty design team working at the heart of a fast growing, global company, and a passion for design.

What You’ll be doing:

  • Steering motion design across our full brand portfolio, from logo stings, show branding, social content, editorial assets, events, merch and more.
  • Designing and building scalable motion systems and templates (including .MOGRT files) that empower the wider business.
  • Creating original compositions and styleframes where applicable, but also working closely with our designers.
  • Developing motion toolkits and identity systems that bring consistency, clarity and craft to everything we produce.
  • Presenting confidently and clearly to stakeholders, helping them understand the creative vision.
  • Keeping files, projects and workflows organised and precise, no messy timelines or bodged comps.
  • Collaborating closely with designers, editors and producers to shape every project from the ground up.
  • Being proactive, thoughtful, and unafraid to challenge or lead.

What you have:

  • 5+ years of motion design experience, ideally in brand or content environments.
  • A showreel or portfolio that shows clarity of thought, design sensitivity, and motion craft.
  • Strong, proven experience in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • A sharp design eye — you understand what makes something look great, and what makes good design.
  • Sympathetic to the idea that good motion is born out of good design.
  • An interest in building and maintaining .MOGRT templates and logic-based systems (expressions experience a bonus).
  • Great organisation and communication skills with the team.
  • You’ll care about what’s under the hood, not just what’s on screen.
  • Confident in presenting and explaining ideas.
  • Hungry to do great work and not afraid to put ideas forward or push back when needed.
  • A strong work ethic and passion for the craft and creative process.
  • Bonus: familiarity with Cinema 4D (though it’s rarely used in our workflow, but could be if that’s the vision!).

Footballco is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to, and will not be discriminated against based on age, race, gender, colour, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability or any other protected category.
