We are looking to recruit a PBS Practitioner to join our Therapies team at Catalyst Care Group. As a PBS Practitioner, you will provide clinical support within both community and hospital settings. You will conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments, develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs), and implement these plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, individuals receiving support, and their families. In this Manchester-based role, you will frequently travel within the Manchester area and surrounding regions, including York, as part of your responsibilities.
This role also involves supporting the PBS team in implementing system-wide PBS practices across multiple organizations, continuously developing the service based on the latest research. You will manage a caseload of individuals, conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs), and work closely with clinicians to ensure PBSPs are effectively supported during crisis situations. The PBS Practitioner will also represent the organization at professional meetings, promote the development of individualized support packages, and contribute to ongoing service improvement across the wider care network.
Do you have?
- BTEC or higher qualification in Positive Behaviour Support.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions.
- Experience managing a caseload across various settings, supporting individuals with disabilities, and working within multi-disciplinary/multi-agency environments is desirable.
- Experience in reducing restrictions and least restrictive practice.
- Driven and eager to grow, with a passion for making a positive impact.
- UK driving licence.
- Desirable: Masters in ABA or PBS, Masters in disability studies, Masters in autism or equivalent, PROACT SCIP UK trainer.
