Interquest have a need for an experienced FOI/Information governance consultant to work with a leading local authority. Key experience across FOI (Freedom of Information) and case management will be essential.

- Organisation's compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks governing the access to, handling, classification, retention, sharing and disposal of information.
- Ensure suitable physical and electronic systems are in place to record and manage all aspects of information governance, including information asset register, breach log, publication scheme, risk register.
- Monitor systems in use for handling personal data, ensuring controls are in place and appropriate actions taken on any data or policy breach.
- Support the management of records in the corporate records management systems.
- Support an overarching corporate information sharing protocol for external data sharing and maintain a record of data sharing agreements.
- Develop reports regarding performance, progress and risks relating to information governance.
- Keep abreast of developments in information governance and keep up to date with the ICO and other guidance on good practice and standards.
- Maintain the organisation's publication scheme and help meet transparency and open data requirements.
