Skills Development Coach – machining Blackburn, Lancashire Permanent Full Time 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday Salary £31,500 – £33,500 Benefits include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 32 days in accordance with service, birthday leave, opportunity to purchase up to an additional 5 days holiday per year, contributory pension scheme, life insurance based on 4 x annual salary, annual CPD days and opportunities for career development and progression, modern facilities, family friendly policies, scope for hybrid working, free parking on and off site, Our training provider is a large independent training provider based in Blackburn and is owned by the University of Central Lancashire. Are you an Electrically or Mechanically biased Engineer with a relevant Level 3 Qualification in Engineering? This unique and exciting position is focused on supporting our future generation of Engineers, imparting your invaluable skills, knowledge and behaviours to shape them into exceptionally talented, fully qualified employees. Your role will include managing a caseload of Apprentices, by preparing and supporting through to successful completion of their End Point Assessment. You will participate in the learner onboarding process in accordance with ESFA funding rules, to include completing the ‘three-way conversation’ and skills scan ensuring a sound understanding from both employer and Apprentice of their required commitment • To maintain a safe working environment at all times and provide awareness and guidance to ensure that the apprentice is kept safe in terms of and Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Prevent. To discuss this as part of the review process and make any relevant referrals as per company procedures • As part of your role, you will work with a case load of Engineering Apprentices and their employers, who include local SME’s as well as some of the nation’s largest Manufacturing employers. This will include regular face to face meetings at employer sites. Therefore, it is essential that the successful candidate holds a full, clean driving licence.
