We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to act as a Gigamon Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a team dedicated to the rollout of a significant Cyber Project for a large government client. This role requires a proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude, capable of working under minimal supervision and flexible in terms of working hours.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work under the direction of a team lead to remotely configure hardware.
- Build, configure, and harden Juniper switches according to build guides.
- Set up and integrate Gigamon physical devices with the Gigavue FM Management server.
- Visit customer sites to install hardware within racks.
- Provide remote support of hardware during customer testing.
- Regularly update the Project Manager and team lead on progress.
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure new hardware is effectively supported.
- Be onsite 4/5 days a week to access the Production environment, with some implementations likely outside normal working hours due to customer activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a network engineer, preferably with Cisco projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and develop positive relationships with other project teams.
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with peers, management, and customers.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience working with large government customers.
- Ability to think through issues independently and suggest solutions.
- Must be a sole British national due to clearance requirements.

- Experience in the implementation of Gigamon devices.
