Our client is looking for an Airfreight Import Coordinator to join this busy team. You will manage and operate Air shipments from start to finish.
The role includes:
- Creating and maintaining customer standard operating procedures
- Having a clear financial understanding of each job file(s) within your remit
- Providing accurate and timely reports to department manager
- Having ownership and taking accountability to deliver operational excellence
- Ensuring that a 'customer is king' ethos is always applied in actions for the business
- Delivering accurate and timely paperwork in relation to the creation and issuance of import documentation
- Demonstrating commercial acumen and an in depth understanding of the P&L of a job
- Freighting and Invoicing
- Creating operational reports and ensuring that anomalies are escalated appropriately
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers, airlines & overseas partners/agents
- Ensuring that Company policies and procedures are adhered to
Person specification:
- Airfreight forwarding experience essential
- Must have knowledge and experience of customs
- Strong work ethic
- A 'can do' attitude is applied with all communications
- Cargowise experience highly beneficial
The hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Salary up to £35K depending on experience.
