The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for a practical, hands-on person with construction materials application experience to join the technical team as Materials Applicator & Creator / Model Maker, within a leading manufacturer of construction materials & chemicals.

The main purpose of the Materials Creator & Applicator / Model Maker role will be to create samples and build models on behalf of the technical, sales and marketing teams. You will also carry out testing of materials for the technical department. The models will be used for display purposes at exhibitions, in the showroom and also for presentations to Architects etc.

A background in the application of construction materials with at least 10 years' hands-on experience is essential e.g tiling, plastering, joinery, electrical and trowel application skills. The Materials Applicator & Creator / Model Maker will need a strong eye for detail and the ability to read drawings and technical data sheets is required, as well as being able to be self-critical of one's work. Self-organisation and strong time management skills are required to ensure deadlines are met.

There will also be some on-site visits to customer premises, to carry out relevant product training. As well as the above, a knowledge of application testing and a CSCS card is highly desirable. A full UK driving licence is required, and a company car will be provided.

The role is Monday to Friday 07.30 to 16.00 hours (7.30am to 4.00pm). Some travel to constructions sites in the UK may be required, as well as occasional visits to Europe potentially.

This is a great opportunity for a construction application specialist to learn about the company's vast range of products, providing technical knowledge and also to continuously improve the application methods of the company's products.
