Purpose of the role
As a Developer within the Online IT team, you will be working with an experienced group of technical people for a variety of stakeholders. You will be predominantly focussed on supporting aspects of the online business across Iceland’s portfolio of websites, particularly on the recently launched headless storefront centred around React and Salesforce PWAKit. It is a varied job that covers creating new features, building components our customers can interact with, A/B tests, campaign support, platform developments for the Iceland.co.uk site, creating tools, and some developments to complement our mobile apps. While largely focused around supporting our Ecommerce site, there are opportunities to work with other projects and technologies, including exposure to the SalesForce Force.com and Service Cloud platform, and our Cloud Operations function.
In this role you can expect to:
- Work within a multi-disciplined team to deliver new enhancements and features
- Implement improvements that support day-to-day Ecommerce trade
- Setup of A/B test campaigns and implement successful changes in core code base
- Develop microservices / campaign toolkits
- Develop our portfolio of non-transactional sites
- Features / bug fixes for our Commerce Cloud sites and apps
- Contribute to planning, solution design, retrospectives and reviews
