Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer. Due to the expansion of their fleet, they now have an opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Engineer / HGV Fitter to join them on a permanent basis. This position is based at Low Marnham, near Newark.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Days/Afters shift: 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm
Pay rate: £20.08 (for skilled workers) + Shift bonuses for Afters shift
100% MOT pass rate bonuses
Overtime paid at time and a quarter (£25.10 per hour).
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in the Repair and Servicing of HGVs
- You are an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Engineer / HGV Fitter
- Have good communication skills and show attention to detail in all aspects of inspection, repair and testing documentation
- You drive and have your own transportation
Responsibilities:
- You will be fully competent in conducting HGV / Trailer safety inspections and MOT preparation to achieve VOSA compliance.
- You will have a strong grounding in HGV electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Able to achieve timely completion of tasks and give accurate updates whilst remaining focused and calm under pressure.
- Keeping detailed records of repairs, inspections, and testing.
