A leading UK-based organisation is seeking a Lead Solution Architect to spearhead the design and delivery of complex, cloud-native platforms. This senior role is ideal for someone with at least 8 years’ experience architecting large-scale distributed systems, particularly on AWS.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in designing secure, scalable infrastructures using AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Java-based microservices. You’ll be responsible for shaping technical strategy, leading architecture design, and mentoring teams across cloud transformation projects. A strong understanding of cloud security best practices, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and event-driven design is essential.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring architectural standards meet business and compliance requirements, optimising performance, and managing cloud costs. Excellent leadership, communication, and hands-on technical skills are critical to success in this position.
Preferred candidates will have:
- AWS certifications
- Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure or GCP)
- A background in serverless technologies, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and zero-trust security models
- Experience using DevOps tools and a DevOps focus
This role offers flexible working, funded training, 25+ days holiday, pension contributions, and the opportunity to shape cloud strategy within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. There is additional funding for learning and development and you can take time out with 'coaches' for active learning to gain more certifications.
