Do you have experience in supply chain management, procurement or logistics, dealing with suppliers on a daily basis? Are you confident using ERP systems and databases? Are you numerical, analytical and have a keen attention to detail? Do you want the opportunity to grow and develop within an organisation? We have been retained to find a Supply Chain Planner for a growing and profitable supplier of products to the industrial, engineering and building sectors. This is a new role joining a small collaborative team, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain. The role has been created to manage supply of a new product range from a new supplier base. Key aspects of the role: * Working with suppliers and analysing data to ensure product availability and optimisation of stock levels. * Processing purchase orders as dictated by order demand and inventory planning systems using the ERP system and spreadsheet models. * Using the systems to track and monitor pending orders and lead times to ensure products are received on time. * Monitoring and reporting on supplier performance, providing strategies to improve shortfalls. * Management of goods inwards processes and paperwork, working with the operations team. The role requires a highly organised approach and the ability to prioritise as the day unfolds. Strong relationship skills are essential for working with suppliers and internal colleagues in other functions within the company. The company is based on the Birmingham side of Coventry and is well placed for the Coventry train stations and bus routes.
