We’re looking for a capable and motivated Management Accountant to join a leading business in Sutton Coldfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified/finalist accountant or an experienced finance professional looking to take ownership of a hands-on, autonomous role.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities- Produce monthly management accounts using Xero, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Oversee accounts payable – invoice processing, supplier communication, and payment scheduling
- Manage accounts receivable
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage daily cash flow
- Submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
- Liaise with external accountants for year-end accounts and audit prep
- Collaborate with property managers and external stakeholders on financial matters
- Drive improvements to finance systems and internal processes
- Part-qualified/Finalist (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience
- Strong experience in management accounts
- Confident with Xero or similar accounting software
- Solid understanding of AP/AR processes
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills
- Strong communicator with a proactive, self-sufficient approach
- Comfortable managing VAT, reconciliations, and billing
