Online Surveys Developer / Database Developer required by chartered surveyors, building consultancy supplying building inspection services to both local authorities and organisations operating within the built environment and construction industries.
Working within the IT team you will engage with building inspectors, chartered surveyors and other users to gather requirements for bespoke online surveys, inspections and questionnaires and subsequently build out the forms and the relationships between the values which will generate end-user report forms for submission to clients.
The Online Surveys Developer / Database Developer will:
- Work with a Form Builder / Digital Data Collection and Reporting tools which are used within the Mechanical & Engineering / Built Environment / Construction sector.
- Create custom Data Collection Surveys and map the relationships between the fields using these tools which enable users to gather required information during building surveying activities and generate reports for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Engage with internal stakeholders users to capture business requirements and define the scope for improvements of the systems.
- Manage the end usersβ hardware (iPad, Tablets, iPhones etc) and the deployment and management of the software on these devices.
- Work towards the implementation and development of future tech utilising a mix of PowerAutomate, PowerPlatform inc Power Apps, PowerBI, Logic Apps, Canvas Apps etc.
We are searching for an Online Surveys Developer / Database Developer / PowerPlatform Developer / Power Automate Developer / Excel Developer / MS Access Developer who is comfortable working with data in a variety of capacities (MS Excel, MS Access, SQL) and has experience of building out form based systems / online questionnaires or similar data collection systems. We are open to candidates from ALL industries who can demonstrate:
- Form building, data mapping and field mapping and have previous experience building these system in either MS Excel, MS Access or an off-the-shelf package support by the vendor (such as FastField (Quickbase), iForm (Zerion Software), MS Forms etc).
- Strong core data management experience in MS Excel and/or SQL.
- Strong organisation skills and excellent communication skills being able to engage with non-technical users.
- Some understanding, exposure to, or interest in PowerPlatform development (such as Canvas Apps, Logic Apps, PowerBI etc).
