For Companies Scrap Metal Quality Inspector
Location: Ellesmere Port
Employment Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and monitor the quality of ferrous scrap materials.
- Ensure all products meet agreed specifications and internal standards
- Conduct regular sampling and testing of materials
- Maintain detailed inspection records and reports
- Identify and report quality issues or non-conformances
- Support continuous improvement and the development of quality procedures
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in quality control or inspection essential.
- Previous experience working in the scrap metal industry highly advantageous.
- Understanding of ferrous scrap grades and relevant specifications preferred but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations
- Good IT skills for record keeping
Package Details:
- Permanent full-time role
- 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
- 23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
