Job Summary

Successful individual will be responsible for leading the Transaction Banking Sales (TB) growth strategy for the Global Subsidiaries client segment in Europe and the Americas. The role involves providing strategic oversight and guidance for Inbound clients, ensuring alignment with regional sales teams. The role holder will spearhead the development and training of TB Inbound Sales to enhance knowledge, sales skills, and performance, fostering successful business growth and career development. Additionally, the role will actively identify client needs, drive wallet share growth, originate new business, and expand the franchise by leveraging the bank's competitive network and establishing new client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • To execute and manage the strategy for providing solutions across all Transaction Banking products for our Global Subsidiary clients in Europe and in the Americas as well manage and guide the team members covering these client names.
  • Responsible for growing existing client portfolio revenues and deepening client relationships in line with assigned targets, ensuring sustained business growth and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Take the lead in identifying both explicit and implied client needs, engaging with key influencers and senior decision makers.
  • Develop tailored solutions and lead the preparation and presentation of high-level proposals and pitches to clients.
  • Accountable for managing the entire execution process through to revenue realization, ensuring timely and effective delivery of complex solutions and maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Complete ownership of TB client-level franchise revenue in Europe and the Americas for the Global Subsidiaries segment, driving strategic initiatives to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Develop comprehensive cash, liquidity, trade, and transactional FX solutions that meet the diverse needs of clients, enhancing their operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Lead the delivery of Requests for Information (RfI) and Requests for Proposals (RfP), coordinating with cross-functional internal teams to ensure cohesive, compelling, and competitive pitches to clients.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' treasury priorities and policies, leveraging this knowledge to navigate Cash and Trade sales processes effectively and deliver value-added solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with TB decision makers through active client engagement, regular communication, and strategic influence, ensuring full access and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Possess a deep understanding of clients' business needs, footprint, buying centers, and decision-making processes.
  • Drive the TB Client Map for the region and ensure Account Plan commitments are met.
  • Spearhead the cash and trade growth strategy for Europe and the Americas for the Global Subsidiaries segment, working closely with the team on execution.
  • Have a profound understanding of the client ecosystem and supply chain.
  • Establish comprehensive access to cash management, treasury management, and trade finance decision makers through active client engagement, including regional treasury centres, procurement and trading centres, strategic sourcing, export teams, structured financing teams, and channel/distribution management teams.
  • Build access at operational levels within the client Cash and Trade departments/divisions.
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders within Global TB Sales, Coverage, Product, SSD, Legal, Finance, and Compliance functions to ensure alignment and drive success.
  • Proactively lead sales opportunity development with the CIB team and regional TB Sales team.
  • Execute activities in line with TB sales pipeline and deal review policies, ensuring all opportunities are maximized and client needs are met.
  • Take the lead in identifying explicit and implied client needs, engaging key influencers and decision makers, developing solutions and leading proposals and pitches to clients.
  • Input into Business Credit Applications (BCAs) via Product Conditions for assigned portfolio.
  • Provide input to Product Managers on evolving client and competitor landscape.
  • Advice, oversight, and guidance for the team.
  • Document negotiation for new to bank business.
  • Active role in credit & compliance approvals on Credit Applications deviations for assigned portfolio.
  • Grow Liabilities for assigned portfolio.
  • Grow Utilisation on Trade limits for assigned portfolio.
  • On Receivables Purchase (RP) opportunities, work with the Receivable Service Managers (RSMs) on deals.
  • Drive Sustainable Trade Agenda within Standard Chartered.

Qualifications

Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional European language such as German or French is a plus. Extensive experience gained in the banking industry in a leadership position. Great stakeholder management and leadership skills.
