Controls Engineer β Berkshire β System Integrator – Permanent – Β£40-65k β Office Based Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Controls Engineer with experience of writing PLC software from scratch for a successful North East based systems integrator. Controls Engineers with experience of Rockwell / Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and the associated SCADA software will be considered favourably. Key aspects of the Controls Engineer position include; * Growing systems integrator with a full order book with opportunities for training and career progression * Successful Controls Engineer will be joining a systems integrator with a very good reputation and will be working alongside other high calibre, well qualified Controls Engineers * Configure and develop PLC / SCADA software from scratch * Understand and be able to deliver the project lifecycle from concept through to completion * Produce specifications and design documentation * Test and commission safely in operational end user environments * 80/20 split of being office based and working on site for short periods (sites are typically regional but could be national) * The company operates mainly in the process sector and has ongoing control system project work in the utilities, water treatment, food & drink, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors * A Controls Engineer who has βbeen there and done itβ i.e. someone who has a combination of strong programming skills and solid documentation experience, ideally Degree qualified with more than 5 years relevant experience will be well suited * The company is keen to assist Controls Engineers gaining Chartered status * This role will suit a Controls Engineer who has had experience of working for a system integrator where full project life cycle involvement is an expectation * The company provides the best available equipment as well as a very professional, modern working environment for the engineering teams to deliver from * Controls Engineer will need a UK driving licence and be able to work in the UK without sponsorship The office location is commutable from places such as Slough, Reading, Swindon, Didcot, Farnborough, Camberley and Maidenhead
