We\’re looking for a proactive Engineering Maintenance Team Leader to help drive performance, lead a skilled team, and ensure the smooth running of critical site services and machinery. This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with both your engineering team and wider site departments to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality operations. 🔍 The Role: As Engineering Maintenance Team Leader, you will support the Engineering Supervisor in managing site maintenance activities, leading a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, and coordinating contractors to meet daily production and maintenance goals. 🛠️ Key Responsibilities: * Supervise day-to-day activities of mechanical and electrical engineers * Oversee maintenance of all site machinery, utilities, buildings, and associated services * Manage and supervise on-site contractors and specialist service providers * Drive compliance with health & safety, hygiene, and environmental standards * Support the implementation of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules * Collaborate with production, operations, and technical teams to improve equipment uptime and efficiency * Maintain accurate documentation and engineering data * Contribute to the training and development of engineering staff * Assist in the delivery of engineering projects on time and within budget * Promote a “right first time” and continuous improvement culture within the team ✅ What We\’re Looking For: Education & Qualifications: * Time-served engineer with nationally recognised qualifications * Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline * Food Safety Level 3 qualification desirable * Health & Safety qualification (advantageous) Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in a food or FMCG engineering environment * Strong leadership and people management skills * Excellent understanding of PPM systems, HACCP, GMP, and safety regulations * Effective communicator with a flexible and hands-on approach * Skilled in troubleshooting and implementing technical improvements * Competent in Microsoft Office and engineering management systems 🎁 What’s in It for You: * Competitive salary and benefits * Opportunity to lead a dynamic and high-performing team * Ongoing professional development and training * Supportive, forward-thinking working environment * Career progression in a well-established business Ready to lead the way in engineering excellence?
