Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistants required in North and East London for roles beginning ASAP and September 2025. Roles are full time, long term, term-time only (8.30am-4pm). Ideally, you will already have some experience working with children and young people, or you may be considering furthering your career in education.
Responsibilities for Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
- Support the development of students' academic skills and personal development, fostering social and emotional growth.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare and organize teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.
About you:
- Educated to degree level in any humanities subject area including English language and literature, modern languages, history, philosophy, religious studies, classics, and art history.
- Have previous experience within a school or other child-related experience.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
- Have knowledge and experience supporting children within special educational needs.
- School-based experience preferred but not essential. Graduates from all subject areas are welcome to apply.
