My client is an established Challenger Bank with a successful Development Finance business.
Responsibilities:
- To review and critically assess all project and corporate information provided by prospective customers, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough financial reviews and viability analysis of new business opportunities using the Bank’s proprietary Appraisal Model, ensuring speed and accuracy at all times.
- To accompany Lending Directors on site visits and client meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring that all action points are diligently followed up.
- Prepare Credit Papers for presentation to the Bank’s Credit Committee.
- Prepare facility letters in line with Credit Committee approval, ensuring compliance with all stipulated terms.
- Instruct and collaborate with Solicitors, Valuers and project Monitoring Surveyors, interpreting reports and addressing any arising issues.
- Deal with all KYC and other regulatory requirements (Source of Wealth, Source of Funds, Sanctions checks).
- Deal with the loan conditions and ensure each deal is in line with credit’s and the Bank’s expectations.
- Take full ownership of deals from credit approval to completion, delivering exceptional customer service throughout the process.
- Contribute to raising the Bank’s profile and reputation within the residential development industry through proactive marketing, intelligent deal analysis and best-in-class customer service.
What you will Bring:
- University degree or equivalent, or relevant experience in the financial services sector.
- 3+ years of experience working in a similar role (in a bank or non-bank lender).
- Real Estate lending experience (essential).
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines effectively.
- Good quality credit writing skills with attention to detail (essential).
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess the viability of lending propositions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Salary: up to £60k depending on experience
