We are looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Food Safety Compliance Officer, with relevant experience conducting food safety audits and producing and reviewing HACCP, risk assessments and policy documentation, to join a leading events venue in London.
Joining a world class venue, the main responsibility of this role is to have operational responsibility for ensuring that all retail units, kitchens and commercial partnerships across the venue are food safety and legislatively compliant. You will act as a key knowledge holder/provider to all stakeholders and will ensure that immediate actions are taken where non-compliance issues arise.
Key responsibilities:
- Working with all food & beverage partners to ensure they meet legislative and food safety compliance and be the main point of contact for all food safety matters
- Ensuring required standards of safety, security, cleanliness, service delivery and presentation standards are maintained
- Ensuring that quality control and reporting systems are in place
- Conducting regular inspections and event audits across the venue
- Point of liaison with external auditors and caterers
- Supporting the management of crises and incident investigation
- Proactively managing and adapting policies and procedures in accordance with HACCP/procedures/allergen information
- Ensuring food exhibitors comply with all food safety regulations
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all compliance legislation and paperwork
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar food safety and compliance role
- Demonstrable success in developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and auditing food safety and quality programs
- Experience in conducting food safety audits and producing associated reports
- Experienced in producing and reviewing HACCP, risk assessments and policy documentation
- Understanding of how local authorities operate, how food hygiene inspections are conducted and a detailed understanding of the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme
- Strong understanding of food safety, allergen and health & safety legislation and ability to implement policies and procedures
- A qualified Environmental Health Officer is highly beneficial
- IT literate
- Proactive, organised and meticulous nature
