About our client
Better Society Capital (BSC) is the UK's leading social impact investor, having played a pivotal part in scaling the social investment market to over £10bn since 2011. With a £600m balance sheet, BSC has backed innovative fund managers and financial intermediaries that direct capital to social enterprises and charities tackling some of the country's most pressing social challenges. The group invests in a way that enables long-term, systemic change and its success is measured by both financial returns but also, crucially, the growth and social value generated across the wider impact ecosystem.
As BSC develops its 2026-2030 strategy, they are looking to appoint two new Non-Executive Board members who will also sit on the Investment Committee. As such, this presents an opportunity to provide strategic leadership and ensure the organisation has the resources needed to meet its objectives as well as provide oversight on BSC's investment approach, all in the pursuit of growing the social investment landscape and improving lives across the UK. The position will be remunerated at £16,850.40 per annum (covering both the Board and Investment Committee roles).
