I am working with a prestigious global investment seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join their London-based team. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dynamic and high-performing finance function supporting complex corporate structures across Europe and beyond. You will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity across a range of EMEA corporate entities, ensuring compliance with internal reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain books and records for EMEA corporate entities for monthly group reporting under US GAAP and for local statutory purposes.
- Manage payables/receivables and liaise with treasury, payroll, and accounts payable teams to oversee cash flow activities.
- Provide detailed management information through analysis, trend tracking, and commentary.
- Assist the central Finance team with group-level quarterly and annual reporting queries.
- Prepare statutory financial statements under local GAAP and coordinate with auditors.
- Manage preparation and review of VAT and corporate tax returns in conjunction with internal and external tax specialists.
- Support Board Meeting preparation and provide ad hoc reporting/analysis as needed.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement, control enhancement, and finance system efficiency projects.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree-qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CA), ideally Top 10 trained, with 1–3 years’ PQE; alternatively with in-house Corporate Accounting experience.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including US GAAP and FRS102; consolidation and lease accounting experience desirable.
- Working knowledge of multi-currency accounting platforms and banking systems is advantageous.
- Exposure to VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory reporting requirements preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational capabilities.
