Reeson Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and specialist SEN school in the Stockport area. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11 to 16 with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, helping them to engage with learning in a structured and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with pupils aged 11-16 as a Teaching Assistant, supporting their educational and emotional development.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons that suit individual needs and EHCPs.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support, encouraging engagement and confidence.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment where pupils feel heard and understood.
  • Support students in developing key life skills alongside academic learning.
  • Use your sports coaching experience (if applicable) to enhance lessons, helping pupils to develop teamwork, confidence, and resilience.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with pupils.
  • Experience in sports coaching or physical education is advantageous but not essential.
  • A commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a specialist school setting.
