Mission and Goal
As a Senior Principal Content Designer, you will bring a deep understanding of how language and design come together to shape intuitive, human-centered digital experiences. This is a strategic and hands-on role, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Product, Engineering, Research, and Marketing. You will drive the Content Design vision and strategy for the Security pillar across Gen’s global brands and channels, ensuring cohesive, customer-focused, and data-informed messaging and experiences across key touchpoints.
Objectives
- Drive the Content Design vision and strategy for the Security pillar across Gen’s global brands and channels, ensuring cohesive, customer-centric, and data-informed messaging and experiences across touchpoints.
- Design, test, and deliver in-product content such as user flows, interaction language, navigation, product naming, frameworks, and other elements across Gen products and experiences. This work supports customers and teams in achieving their goals across mobile, desktop, and web platforms.
- Mentor other content designers, model best practices, and foster a positive, collaborative team culture.
- Apply systems thinking and Content Design principles to ensure language scales across experiences, platforms, and markets.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and delivering high-quality work on time.
- Collaborate daily with peers across disciplines, including Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, Research, and Marketing.
- Support UX research and testing efforts to validate content decisions and ensure alignment with user needs.
- Partner with internationalization and localization teams to ensure globally relevant experiences.
Competencies
- 8 or more years of experience in Content Design or UX writing, ideally including work in early-stage product development and innovation contexts.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering clear, impactful product content in complex, fast-moving environments.
- Exceptional storytelling and narrative skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into compelling, human-centered language.
- Experience working within design systems and contributing to reusable and scalable language patterns.
- Strong command of UX and product design principles, with hands-on experience using tools such as Figma, Jira, and Confluence.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects with minimal direction and handling ambiguity.
- Experience navigating global and matrixed organizations, and working with internationalization and localization best practices.
