Hybrid with travel to London office 1-3 days a week, plus, visits to offices in the home counties regularly (2-4 days a month).

The business operates across both consumer and commercial markets and is scaling nationally through a mix of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. The focus is on helping people and organisations improve the performance, sustainability and efficiency of their buildings, systems and operations – bringing innovation, technology and service together under one trusted brand.
The opportunity
Our client is looking for a Head of Marketing to take ownership of the marketing function and build the engine that powers growth. You’ll sharpen brand positioning, deliver high-quality and cost-effective lead generation across multiple audiences, and create a marketing structure that can scale across a multi-site, fast-evolving organisation.
What you’ll lead:
Lead generation & commercial impact
- Develop and execute a marketing strategy that generates a consistent pipeline of qualified leads across consumer, trade, and business audiences.
- Build a scalable, data-driven marketing engine that delivers measurable ROI.
- Manage a broad channel mix covering digital, content, partnerships, field activity and events.
- Work closely with commercial leaders to align marketing priorities with product, audience and regional goals.
- Track and improve cost-per-lead, conversion rates and return on marketing investment.
Brand & reputation
- Strengthen and evolve a trusted brand that unites the group’s acquired businesses under one identity.
- Manage brand governance, consistency and quality across all channels.
- Protect and enhance the company’s reputation through proactive communications and reputation management.
Field marketing & local activation
- Partner with regional and branch teams to understand local market needs.
- Provide the playbooks, assets and guidance that enable effective local activation of central campaigns.
- Support teams to adapt national campaigns for local relevance.
Integration & governance
- Centralise and professionalise marketing across newly acquired and legacy businesses.
- Implement clear frameworks for brand, creative, data and campaign governance.
Technology, data & reporting
- Optimise the marketing tech stack to drive automation and performance tracking.
- Introduce efficient systems for campaign management, CRM integration and analytics.
- Build transparent dashboards linking marketing activity to commercial results.
Team leadership & capability
- Build and lead a hybrid marketing team of in-house and external specialists.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that combines creative and analytical strengths.
- Coach and develop the team to use data and technology effectively.
Market insight
- Deepen understanding of key audiences and translate insights into impactful campaigns.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach across the funnel.

- Strong understanding of marketing technology and data analytics.
- Background in a purpose-driven, growing business – ideally with both B2C and B2B exposure.
Location & working pattern
UK-based, hybrid working, with occasional travel to regional offices.
