An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Cashier to join a highly regarded Commercial Law Firm which prides itself on its professional ethos. This position is part of the Accounts team, which consists of 3 members, reporting directly to the Operations and Finance Director. As part of the Accounts department, your primary responsibility will be to support the financial operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Initially, your focus will be on managing client accounts, but you will also provide assistance with office accounts during staff absences or holidays. What’s in it for you; · Salary: Up to £36k according to experience, with some possible flexibility for the right candidate · Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm, office based · Benefits: Health insurance, 20 days holiday + BH (increasing to 25 days +BH) discretionary perks, stat pension, DIS x 4, free parking! Key Responsibilities: · Responsible for conducting daily bank reconciliations. · Process payments such as invoices ensuring all transactions are documented correctly. · Process CHAPS and BACS payments efficiently and on time. · Conduct inter-account transfers as needed. · Assist with billing where required. · Monitoring bank accounts for payments received. · Allocation of client receipts. · Cheques in/out (client & office). · Emails & general queries. · Land Registry posting. · Generate fee earner reports. · Ensure full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and internal policies. · Respond to emails and generate account queries promptly.
