TAG is currently seeking senior associates with strong pensions experience on behalf of our client, a prestigious UK law firm.

Role Overview

This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of pensions matters, ranging from complex transactions to advisory and contentious issues, while supporting high-profile clients across the financial and corporate sectors.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide legal advice on a wide range of pensions matters, including scheme governance, regulatory compliance, and transactional support.
  • Deliver outstanding client service while promoting a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Manage legal matters from inception to completion, meeting chargeable hours and financial targets in line with departmental and firm-wide objectives.
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues, contribute to internal training, and share best practices to support team development.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and delivering tailored legal solutions.
  • Participate in networking, marketing, and business development activities to support the growth of the practice.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify cross-selling opportunities and contribute to firm-wide success.

Key requirements:

  • Must be a qualified solicitor registered with the SRA or Law Society of Scotland.
  • Proven experience in pensions-related legal work, including transactions, advisory, and contentious matters.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and client-handling skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex and varied workload with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience leading or mentoring others is desirable.
