We’re partnering with a prestigious institution to find a Fully Qualified Accountant to join their close-knit finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of key financial functions including statutory reporting, audit support, investment oversight, and payroll, while contributing to a meaningful mission within a respected and values-led organisation.
As a Fully Qualified Accountant, you will:
- Lead on the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the year-end audit process
- Provide expert guidance on accounting treatments and uphold strong financial controls
- Support a small transactional finance team across AP, AR, and month-end close
- Contribute to the financial oversight of trusts, endowments, and drawdowns
- Oversee payroll approvals, tax compliance, and employee benefit schemes
- Produce detailed cash flow forecasts and support treasury management
- Work collaboratively across departments to support financial planning and promote value-for-money
What we’re looking for:
- CCAB-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent)
- Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards (RCCA/UK GAAP)
- Proven experience in financial and management accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems
- Experience supporting or leading small finance teams
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
- Sector experience in education, charity or public sector is desirable
