Key Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant, your role will include: Supporting children with their learning and general wellbeing, helping them reach their full potential in a safe and caring environment. Providing tailored support, including care needs and positive behaviour management, where required. Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils to ensure they feel secure and valued during their time at school. Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality, differentiated educational activities as part of a broad and balanced curriculum. Promoting independence and personal development while maintaining high standards of behaviour. Adapting to the varied nature of the role and providing support wherever needed. Ideal Candidate: To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate: Experience working with SEN in either a paid or voluntary capacity. A GCSE Maths and English Level 3 or above qualification (essential). A Level 2 or above qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable). An understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures. Flexibility, creativity, and a child-focused approach. A positive, proactive attitude toward meeting individual pupils’ needs. A full UK driving licence and access to your own car (desirable).
