Job Title: Band 4 Nursing Associate

Driving Licence and Access to Own Vehicle Required

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Band 4 Nursing Associate to join our team, supporting patients in their homes, care homes, and other community settings across Plymouth and surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a Nursing Associate, you will provide a wide range of clinical care under the delegation of registered practitioners, supporting safe, high-quality nursing and social care within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake delegated responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for a designated group of patients

  • Deliver nursing care across diverse community settings including patients’ homes and care homes

  • Support individuals with complex health needs in challenging and varied environments

  • Collaborate closely with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure joined-up care

  • Supervise, coach, and support junior staff and students, contributing to a culture of learning and team development

  • Maintain accurate and professional documentation in line with NMC and organisational policies

  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing in all aspects of care delivery

  • Support and participate in advanced care planning and treatment escalation discussions

  • Essential Requirements
    • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC Register

    • Level 5 Foundation Degree – Nursing Associate

    • Valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle for work purposes

    • Practical training certificates

    • DBS with update service

    • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and decision-making skills

    • Ability to work flexibly and independently across Plymouth and surrounding areas

    Additional Clinical Skills & Competencies

    You should have, or be willing to develop, competencies in a range of clinical areas including but not limited to:

    • Wound management

    • Diabetes care and monitoring

    • Medicine administration

    • Bladder and bowel care

    • Palliative and end-of-life care
