Locum Childcare Lawyer β Full time β Hybrid working β 3 months + β up to Β£55 per hour Umbrella β East Midlands
Venn Groupβs specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join a lovely and supportive team in a Public Sector Organisation in the East Midlands area.
This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months with a likely extension thereafter whilst the Council recruit permanently
The ideal candidate would work full time on a Predominantly remote working basis, attending Court once a week
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Childcare/Family matters.
Duties may include:
- Provided legal advice to Children Services on PLO cases and advised on the initiation of public law care proceedings.
- Advise and conduct advocacy on complex cases, which include cases with an international element, immigration issues, capacity issues, non-accidental injuries, and large sibling groups
- Draft case summaries, case management orders, Part 25 applications, particularised threshold, skeleton arguments, and various written submissions
- Deal with judicial review claims involving Children Services and Education, including drafting procedures, policies and protocols for transitional cases
An attractive hourly rate of up to Β£55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
