Robotics Engineer

A well-established and growing automation business is seeking a skilled ABB Robotics Engineer to join its dynamic projects team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to take ownership of robotic automation projects from design through to commissioning.

This role involves working across a range of industrial applications, providing innovative solutions using ABB robotics technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robotic automation systems using ABB robots (primarily IRC5 controlled).
• Program and simulate systems using ABB RobotStudio.
• Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, and sensors.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on system integration.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Support clients and operators with technical training.
• Contribute to process improvements in automation and manufacturing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Degree or diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years\’ experience working with ABB robotics systems.
• Proficient in the ABB RAPID programming language.
• Strong working knowledge of RobotStudio and IRC5 architecture.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
