<b>Job Description</b><p><b>Job Title:</b> Bid Manager</p>n<p><b>Location:</b> Broad Oak. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role. </p>n<p><b>Salary:</b> Up to £42,000 dependent on experience </p>n<p><b></b></p>n<p><b>What you’ll be doing: </b></p>n<p>Your main responsibilities as a Bid Manager will involve:</p>n<ul>n<li>Leading all aspects of the planning and execution of the overall bid cycle/governance plan (for assigned bids)</li>n<li>Managing the bid development in a timely and efficient manner, schedules and oversees key reviews</li>n<li>Defining, tailoring and implementing a suitable Bid process to fit the Opportunity</li>n<li>Generating and gaining approval for implementing a realistic Bid Plan and Bid Schedule (including resources, budgets, responsibilities and task allocation)</li>n<li>Managing the business approval process at all required delegated authority levels, supports any security and export approvals</li>n<li>Leading the multi-disciplined Bid team and ensures the entire team is kept appraised of developments in requirements and bid status, on a day to day basis</li>n<li>Interacting with bid stakeholders at all appropriate levels across multiple organisations and keeps the Business Leadership Team informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolution</li>n<li>Coordinating the Costing and Pricing activity, including acting as an independent challenger to keep the team focused on meeting the Price to Win</li>n</ul>n<p><b>Your skills and experiences: </b></p>n<ul>n<li>Qualified to Degree standard or equivalent</li>n<li>Has practical and relevant work experience </li>n<li>Proven bid management and project management skills, ideally within a complex procurement environment </li>n<li>Proven experience of supporting RFIs, ITT/ITN/RFP/RFQ or Framework bids in a competitive environment </li>n</ul>n<p><b>Benefits: </b></p>n<p>As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.</p>n<p><b>The Maritime and Land BD Operations team: </b></p>n<p>The role sits in the Maritime and Land BD Operations team that resides in Maritime Services but provides business winning support across the Maritime and Land sector providing a variety of campaigns and bids to support.</p>n<p>The BD Operations team has a number of bid management, proposal management and proposal coordination roles that this role will sit alongside as part of the wider team. You will support bids across the sector, providing you the opportunity to support long-term strategic campaigns and shorter turn around bids. </p>n<p>As the world has evolved, so has the way we work.
