Senior Sales Engineer

£35,000 + Permanent Role + Training + Progression + Holiday + Pension
Do you have a background as a Sales, Business Development or Account Management in a manufacturing or automotive sector or looking to progress your Sales career within a fun and fast paced industry?
The ideal candidate for this position will nurture, support, and expand the company's business relationships. In order to succeed in this position, the candidate must have a logical and methodical approach to tasks, with good organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. An interest in automotive and manufacturing would also be a bonus. This is a stable and growing business with a diverse customer base ranging from motorsport through to prestige car manufacturers and industrial applications.
Your duties will include:
- Leading & supporting the sales engineer and customer services
- Developing relationships with regular customers to maintain and foster new business.
- Account management of customer order book
- Handling of customer enquiries for new products and RFQs
- Estimating materials & labour costing, plus customer quotations as required.
- Providing advice to customers and assisting with customer engineering problems
- Following up with customers to assist in converting enquiries to sales.
- Updating systems and price lists for new parts
- Supporting colleagues as new parts are deployed throughout the organisation.
- Supporting the marketing dept with shows & events resulting in occasional weekend work/possible nights away
The Person:
- Proven record in B2B Sales
- Proven record providing outstanding customer service.
- A background in Engineering/Sales/Product Design would be helpful but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
- Background in the automotive industry (preferred)
- Highly organised with good management of time and priorities.
- Solutions based thinking.
- Self-motivating and driven.
- Good communicator – face to face, telephone, and email.
- Good familiarity with office programs such as Excel, word, etc.
- Looking for long-term career in a very solid company with genuine opportunities for growth.
Salary: £35,000
Role: Based in Pontyclun (Office based with occasional travel to midlands based office)
Hours: Thursday 8.30am-5pm – Friday 8.30am-4pm
