Scrap Metal Trader
Location: Lancashire
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:45, Friday 08:30-15:00

Are you an experienced Scrap Metal Trader with a passion for building relationships and securing deals? Our client, a leading metal processor, is seeking an experienced metal trader to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit new leads and existing customers 3 days a week, developing strong and lasting relationships.
- Purchase non-ferrous materials, with a focus on titanium and aluminium, from large manufacturers.
- Explore new business opportunities and maintain relationships with current suppliers.
- Manage the full buying process, negotiating the best prices and ensuring high-quality supply.
- Overnight stays may be required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the scrap metal industry, specifically dealing with non-ferrous materials.
- Experience buying from manufacturers (preferably) or scrap merchants.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when necessary.
- Good numeracy skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills
